Whether you’re managing one project or hundreds, a simple checklist can be a powerful tool to help you make sure you’re progressing and know exactly what you need to do next. 

In this article we’re going to take you through a simple, powerful 5 point project management checklist. 

1. Gather your team

The best way to start any project is to gather your team, both the stakeholders or clients and the team who will be responsible for the success of the project. 

Teamwork is at the heart of any successful project so this first step is vital, and will definitely set the tone for the rest of your project going forward.

When you gather your team, it’s a good idea to arrange a kickoff meeting. This will give everyone a chance to get to know each other and ensure that everyone is on the same wavelength before getting started on the project. 

If you’re able to arrange a face-to-face meeting, this can create a more open environment where team members and clients feel able to connect more deeply and have more candid discussions.

2. Schedule tasks

When you’re in the thick of it, and everyone is working on different parts of your project, it’s all too easy to become siloed – especially when it comes to communication.

4. Share files

During the course of any project it’s likely that you will need to share files, either internally with your team, or externally with your clients. 

Sharing files and gathering feedback is important for improving the quality of your work and ensuring your project is as successful as possible.
